Education

Out of School Youth Trained To Answer 10th Grade Exams: Through our partnership with Adivasi Medical Research Center we are supporting 20 youth between the ages of 14-16 to provide an environment suitable for intense academic pursuit and have them answer their 10th grade exams. Having basic high school education will ensure these youth a brighter future than the one currently facing them.

Student Scholarships for Low-Income Students: ADN is supporting the education of 15 students from Ranchi, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh. The students range from Class 1 all the way up to coaching for civil services examinations

Community Kids Library, Ranchi: Community Kids Library was started in 2009 with a small library of 100 books in Mission Colony, Ranchi. Since then every week several children come to our library to read and learn. The library has organized several workshops on tribal architecture, tribal music, tribal sculpture and tribal food and cooking.

Employment Generation

Women Trained in Weaving: Through our partnership with Nawa Bihan Samaj (literally translating to "New Dawn Association") in Lakhimpur, Assam we are working with 14 Adivasi women and training them in the art of weaving. Through weaving these women will not only be able to claim a new source of income but also their identity and culture by engaging in traditional handicrafts.
